Maksim Myaskovskiy je uz to osuđen i na uvjetnu kaznu od pet godina. U novembru ga je prijavio privatni istražitelj koji je radio za 19-godišnju Duff, koji je rekao da je Myaskovskiy glumici prijetio smrću.
Mjesec dana kasnije, Duff i njen tadašnji dečko rok pjevač Joel Madden iz benda Good Charlotte, zatražili su zabranu približavanja za Maksima Myaskovskiya i njegovog cimera.
Duff koja je postala poznata po ulozi u Disneyevoj dječijoj TV seriji "Lizzie McGuire", glumila je i u komedijama serijala "Cheaper By the Dozen". Ona je, također, osvojila i prvo mjesto najprodavanijih pop albuma u SAD.

Rođena je 28. rujna 1987, dakle nema ni dvadeset godina, a osim što je pjevačica i glumica, već ima i svoj modni brand koji se zove Stuff by Hilary Duff . Linija je fokusirana na mlade djevojke, a osim odjeće, tu su i modni dodaci te šminka. Možeš birati između dva pravca ove linije – Rock and Roll, koji je pod utjecajem 80-ih, i On the Road, koji je pun pastelnih boja i šarma 70-ih godina 20. stoljeća.
Hilary smatra da nije potrebno umotati se u kožu od glave do pete da bi se izgledalo glamurozno, pa odjeću
iz njene kolekcije možeš slobodno obući i za odlazak u školu, ali i za spoj poslije škole. 'Volim odjeću. Jednostavno se ne mogu kontrolirati. Obožavam cipele, odjeću i šminku i nisam osoba koja može nositi jedno te isto ponovno, ponovno i ponovno', rekla je Hilary.
